Community Services Agency's “Chefs Who Care” dine-out
program is going on its fourteenth year. "Chefs Who Care" is a popular fundraiser that rotates among some of the area’s finest restaurants. Participating restaurants donate 50% of their proceeds for a specified dinner on a particular date (or two) each month.

“It’s a fun, easy, and rewarding way to support Community Services Agency and a great way to sample some of the new restaurants in the area. We have groups of friends who all come together on the same night, but you don’t have to be a part of a group to participate – just call or mail payment with information and sign up in advance.”
Mary-Jo Di Muccio, Volunteer and Organizer

The event is so popular now, attracting over 150 people each month. It is held over two nights, with two seatings at each restaurant.
Last year over $22,000 was raised to support our Food and Nutrition Center, which is the largest component of our Emergency Assistance Program. The program is designed to provide vital resources to encourage and support self-sufficiency for the working poor, elderly and/or homeless in Mountain View, Los Altos, and Los Altos Hills.
“The food available in our Food and Nutrition Center supports self-sufficiency by allowing money that might have gone to groceries to go for rent, medical bills and other expenses,” says Tom Myers, Executive Director of Community Services Agency. “It also provides an opportunity through its monthly thematic health and nutrition education project, funded by the Mountain View Kiwanis Club Foundation and The Health Trust, to address lifestyle choices in diet that may impact future health problems with their subsequent economic and social burdens.”
