Many in our community are trying to live with reduced work hours, a looming job layoff, higher grocery prices, a pending rent increase, rising utility bills or health benefit cutbacks. It’s a time of uncertainty and a time of belt tightening for all of us. But, it’s more important than ever that we have a safety-net and that that safety-net be strong and available for our neighbors in need.

As the need for our safety-net services and programs grows, our financial need increases just to keep pace. We are already seeing a significant increase in the number of families and seniors coming to us for assistance, and we expect to see even more in the coming year.
