Food (we are in need of healthy and nutritious items)
See our recent article in the Los Altos Town Crier.
Community Services Agency distributes over a ton of food each work day to low income individuals and families, minimizing their food-insecurity. Our "food pantry" expands limited budgets so people can afford to pay for that unexpected medical help and/or car repairs in addition to the basics: school supplies, transportation to a job, rent, and utilities.
Got food? We can always use more boxes of cereal, oatmeal, pop-top canned food items (fruits, vegetables, meat, etc.), pop-top fruits, vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, oil, condiments, salad dressings, and so on. Check your fruit trees – Village Harvest will pick the fruit for you and bring it to us!
You can drop off food during normal office hours. Non-perishable, unopened food only. We can’t accept unopened food leftover from parties or events (cakes, sandwiches, salads, etc.)

Toys and Clothing
Holiday Sharing is an opportunity for us to take a break from our own hectic lives and experience the true meaning of the season by sharing and helping others in our community. Parents come to our office and "shop" (at no charge) for new toys, games, and clothing for their children (up to age 18). Our Holiday Sharing preserves the spirit of giving within families.
Children are given gifts from their parents - not from the “local charity.”
For Holiday Sharing donations of toys, games, clothing, and gift cards, contact: Volunteer Director Alison Hopkins at 650.968.0836 x 114 or ahopkinsATcsacaresDOTorg.
Items for Fundraising Auction
Each spring Community Services Agency holds an annual fundraiser. As part of the event we hold a "silent auction" before the dinner and then a "not so silent auction" after dinner. Items for auction are donated by individuals and businesses in the community. So, if you're not utilizing that pied-a-terre in Paris (or time-share in Puerto Vallarta, Napa, or Tahoe) as much as you'd like or perhaps the Louis XIV armoire and Renoir painting don't work with the new curtains, consider donating them to our Spring Fundraiser Auction!
For donation of auction items contact: Development Director Jim Boin at 650.968.0836 x115 or jboinATcsacaresDOTorg.
