Contribute to CSA, Where Every Gift Truly Makes A Difference.
We are experiencing a huge surge in the number of households requesting emergency financial assistance to help pay for rent and utilities, and anticipate that this will grow as the full impact of the Shelter-In-Place ordinance is realized. All contributions received over the next few months will go directly to provide direct client assistance for rent, utilities and other emergency needs.
CSA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our tax ID number is 94-1422465.
CSA has a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. This coveted rating is given to nonprofit organizations that exceed standards in adhering to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way.
Here Are Some Examples Of What Your Gift Can Do
$100 covers out-of-pocket expenses for three prescription medications for an elderly client.
$250 keeps the lights and heat on for a family struggling with an emergency financial situation for one to two months.
$500 buys a week’s worth of high protein foods such as fish, chicken and dairy for 25 families.
$1,000 covers outreach supplies such as comfort kits, sleeping bags and warm clothing for homeless clients during the winter months.
$2,500 helps pay for one month’s rent for a family facing eviction and homelessness.
$5,000 covers annual fuel and insurance costs to operate our mobile food pantry which takes healthy groceries to over 400 families at local elementary schools.

Our food donations are down 6% and our client count is up 14%. We need your help!
Community Services Agency distributes over a ton of food each work day to low income individuals and families. Our “food pantry” expands limited budgets so people don’t have to choose between putting food on the table or paying for unexpected medical expense and/or car repairs, as well as the basics: school supplies, transportation to a job, rent, and utilities.
We are in need of healthy and nutritious items, especially the following:
- high-protein food like eggs, cheese, milk and poultry.
- boxes of cereal, oatmeal, pop-top canned food items (fruits, vegetables, meat, etc.), pop-top fruits, vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, oil, condiments, salad dressings, and so on.
Check your fruit trees – Village Harvest will pick the fruit for you and bring it to us!
Due to health and safety considerations, we can only accept non-perishable, unopened food. We regret that we are not able to accept unopened food left over from parties or events (e.g., cakes, sandwiches, salads, etc.).
To arrange a food drive or food drop-off, please contact us via our Contact Form.

Holiday Sharing is an opportunity for us to take a break from our own hectic lives and experience the true meaning of the season by sharing and helping others in our community. Parents come to our office to “shop” (at no charge) for holiday gifts to give to their children (up to age 18). This year we are seeking gift cards from stores such as Target, Walmart and Amazon so families have more gift options, especially for their older children. Click here to make a donation to purchase gift cards for the Holiday Sharing Program.
CSA clients enjoy a special holiday food bag with items for preparing festive holiday meals as part of the program. Click here for a list of needed food items.
For Holiday Sharing donations, please contact LaDrea Clark at (650) 964-4630 or [email protected]
Leave a legacy. Please remember CSA in your Will.
Bequests or Legacies are a testament to the programs and services provided by Community Services Agency on behalf of the working poor, unemployed, homeless, and elderly. It’s as simple as using the following language on an IRA, insurance policy, any beneficiary designated forms, or providing it to your attorney for inclusion in your Will or living trust:
“I leave (e.g. % of estate; $ amount, residue) to Community Services Agency, a not-for-profit corporation located in Mountain View California, to support them in the fulfillment of their mission to the community.”
Please let us know when you do this so we can thank you for your generosity.
