Contribute to CSA, Where Every Gift Truly Makes A Difference.
Every gift to CSA has impact, with eighty-one cents ($0.81) of every dollar donated going directly to client care and services!
CSA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our tax ID number is 94-1422465.
Double the impact of your donation! Thanks to a generous matching grant from the Sobrato Family Foundation, every first-time gift or increased gift we receive from community members like you will be matched.
Here Are Some Examples Of What Your Gift Can Do
$100 covers out-of-pocket expenses for three prescription medications for an elderly client.
$250 keeps the lights and heat on for a family struggling with an emergency financial situation for one to two months.
$500 buys a week’s worth of high protein foods such as fish, chicken and dairy for 25 families.
$1,000 covers outreach supplies such as comfort kits, sleeping bags and warm clothing for homeless clients during the winter months.
$2,500 helps pay for one month’s rent for a family facing eviction and homelessness.
$5,000 covers annual fuel and insurance costs to operate our mobile food pantry which takes healthy groceries to over 400 families at local elementary schools.

Giving appreciated stock can be more beneficial than giving cash; you receive an immediate income tax deduction for the fair market value of the securities on the date of transfer, and you may not be required to pay capital gains tax.
To make a stock gift, please instruct your broker to transfer your gift as follows:
Morgan Stanley for the benefit of CSA, Account Number 112-119947, DTC Clearing 0015.
You may also contact our broker, Alex Bianchi at (650) 328-8080.
For audit and acknowledgement purposes, we will need your (or the donor’s) name and address, along with the number of shares and type of stock. Please contact the Development Office at 650.968.0836 x115, with this information or send an email to Anita Grossman.
Our food donations are down 6% and our client count is up 14%. We need your help!
Community Services Agency distributes over a ton of food each work day to low income individuals and families. Our “food pantry” expands limited budgets so people don’t have to choose between putting food on the table or paying for unexpected medical expense and/or car repairs, as well as the basics: school supplies, transportation to a job, rent, and utilities.
We are in need of healthy and nutritious items, especially the following:
- high-protein food like eggs, cheese, milk and poultry.
- boxes of cereal, oatmeal, pop-top canned food items (fruits, vegetables, meat, etc.), pop-top fruits, vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, oil, condiments, salad dressings, and so on.
Check your fruit trees – Village Harvest will pick the fruit for you and bring it to us!
Due to health and safety considerations, we can only accept non-perishable, unopened food. We regret that we are not able to accept unopened food left over from parties or events (e.g., cakes, sandwiches, salads, etc.).
To arrange a food drive or food drop-off, please contact us via our Contact Form.

Holiday Sharing is an opportunity for us to take a break from our own hectic lives and experience the true meaning of the season by sharing and helping others in our community. Parents come to our office to “shop” (at no charge) for new toys, games, arts and crafts and gift cards to give to their children (up to age 18). This year we are seeking gift cards from stores such as Target, Walmart and Amazon so families have more gift options, especially for their older children.
For Holiday Sharing donations of toys, games and gift cards, please contact LaDrea Clark at (650) 964-4630 or [email protected]
Leave a legacy. Please remember CSA in your Will.
Bequests or Legacies are a testament to the programs and services provided by Community Services Agency on behalf of the working poor, unemployed, homeless, and elderly. It’s as simple as using the following language on an IRA, insurance policy, any beneficiary designated forms, or providing it to your attorney for inclusion in your Will or living trust:
“I leave (e.g. % of estate; $ amount, residue) to Community Services Agency, a not-for-profit corporation located in Mountain View California, to support them in the fulfillment of their mission to the community.”
Please let us know when you do this so we can thank you for your generosity.
