People – Passion – Professionalism: Staff experiences during the pandemic
Pai Lautaimi, Pantry Assistant, Food & Nutrition Center
What do you like best about your job?
I love getting to work alongside the Food & Nutrition Center volunteers who come in super excited to serve the community. Words can’t explain how happy it makes me to see the dedicated volunteers — we really can’t thank them enough. I make it my job to always make everyone feel welcomed and appreciated no matter how big or small their task.
What keeps you going at work during times of great uncertainty … like COVID-19?
“CSA Cares” is something that was embedded in me working here especially during the pandemic. So much so that it became one of the main reasons I wake up to come into work. The community needs an organization that not only gives back, but also that genuinely cares and CSA is exactly that!
What do you like best about CSA?
CSA is amazing! From the staff and the volunteers to the clients who welcome us with open hearts. My experience working here means so much to me and I am grateful for this opportunity to make even the smallest amount of difference.
