“While it can be discouraging seeing the rising number of homeless and daunting trying to provide the best services to a growing number of individuals, our case managers find motivation in keeping a human connection and the dignity of our clients at the center of the work they do each day,” says Brandi.
Treat Yourself, CSA’s first ever self-care event for our unhoused clients this past Saturday, was a big success, drawing over 40 clients for a day of activities, refreshments and distribution of personal care items. Special thanks to volunteers from 23andMe and The Reclamation Project who helped throughout the morning and afternoon.
In keeping with CSA’s mission to preserve and promote the dignity of our clients, the agency is holding the first-ever daylong event designed to provide a sense of well-being and belonging for our unhoused clients on Saturday, June 1. Billed as Treat Yourself from a sketch on the popular television series Parks and Rec, the event will include games, art activities, refreshments and a distribution of personal care items.
